3D printing seems to be an up and coming technology that proves to beneficial in some portions of the manufcaturing space. While it has some distance to go before being widely accepted as a method to produce metal parts for aerospace and defense, it proves to be the technooogy to watch for plastic parts and for low cost tooling. The prices for the technology are starting to drop.
